An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Computers slow down. It's unavoidable. So get your PC ready for the busy season. Now is a good time do a defrag, scan disk, and clean up of your old files, temp files, cookies, etc.
The number one cause of slow downs is malware. Malware is malicious software such as viruses, worms, trojans, adware, or spyware that can hog resources on your computer and can also hog your available internet bandwidth causing slow uploads of your orders. Make sure your computer is clean and that your prevention software is up to date. Incorrect or corrupted computer settings can also cause sluggish or unusual behavior, trouble accessing some web sites, and cause your high speed internet to appear slow. You can optimize your performance settings and increase the buffer sizes to improve upload performance. Be sure you have your sleep mode settings adjusted properly so you can upload orders overnight. Get the best from your internet service provider (ISP). Wireless connections are not always as fast as wired connections due to signal loss. Even with wired connections, the distance from your home to your ISP’s high speed internet equipment can mean signal loss. The farther away you are from this equipment, the more likely signal loss is. Your high speed internet may also share the same line as your telephone and/or television equipment. In this case, if your high speed internet line is not filtered correctly, you may experience a decrease in speed.

This Speed Test will help you determine your internet connection speed. Click on the link below, and choose Dallas, Texas from the list of server locations.
Of course, there are other factors affecting upload performance outside of your control such as internet traffic. This is similar to driving on a freeway. You may have a very fast car, but if there is a high volume of traffic on the freeway, it’s going to affect how fast your car can go. And you can suffer through a slow connection if the site or server from which you are transmitting/receiving does not have a great deal of bandwidth. Full Color is proud to report that our fiber optic line was upgraded prior to 2009 which increased our upload capacity and speed tremendously and we now have more than sufficient bandwidth to receive all incoming orders and in fact have unused capacity available for future growth.
